A radio presenter at Diamond Platnumz’s Wasafi FM has resigned after a dispute with the singer’s girlfriend and record label signee, Zuchu. Juma Lokole announced his resignation hours after Zuchu expressed frustration over being repeatedly mentioned negatively on his show, “Mashamsham.”
Zuchu reportedly accused the show of bullying and harassment. In a message, she claimed that the content of “Mashamsham” had been damaging to her both artistically and mentally. She stated that she had received constant negative attention and that it had begun to affect her well-being. Zuchu also mentioned that she felt degraded by the program’s content and questioned whether it was fair to be used as a tool for negative publicity.
She said, “I ask, is it fair to be used as a weapon?” Zuchu further expressed her frustration, saying that she was being bullied and harassed despite her efforts as an artist. She added that the attacks on her character were hurting her mental health, noting that no other media outlet had treated her this way.
Zuchu shared her intention to take legal action against Diamond Platnumz’s media company. “I have reached a stage today that I am writing a legal letter to my guardians because of the constant repression on me,” she wrote. “It hurts a lot. I will go to court and maybe I won’t be able to defeat your powerful institution, but even if I fail, I leave it to God.”
Later, Juma Lokole took to social media to announce that he would be leaving the show. He shared, “My fans, I know you love me so much, and I love you too. It is with deep sorrow that I announce tomorrow will be the last day on the Mashamsham show. I will rest to get away from the many things that are happening so that there is peace. Inshallah, let’s meet tomorrow.”
Following the exchange, Zuchu reportedly unfollowed Diamond Platnumz on social media, marking the latest development in the ongoing tensions between the artist and the radio station.
