For the fourth consecutive year, Nigerian artists have dominated the top 10 list, further solidifying Nigeria’s position as a powerhouse in the global music industry.

Asake, the standout star of 2024, claimed the top spot after the release of his record-breaking third album, Lungu Boy, which amassed 18 million streams in its first week on Spotify Nigeria. Since his breakthrough in 2022, Asake has been on an upward trajectory, consistently releasing chart-topping singles and albums that have earned him a devoted fanbase and significant streaming success. His combination of infectious sounds and high-profile collaborations propelled him to the #1 position on the list.

Seyi Vibez follows closely in second place, after another successful year that included the release of a new project and features on his label Vibe INC’s compilation album.

Rounding out the top five are global icons Burna Boy (3), Wizkid (4), and Rema (5), with all these artists continuing to dominate Nigeria’s music scene. The top 10 is an all-male list, reflecting the overwhelming presence of male talent in Nigerian music this year.
