Michael Collins Ajereh (born 26 November 1982), known professionally as Don Jazzy, is a Nigerian record producer. He is the founder and CEO of Mavin Records. Don Jazzy was co-owner of the now-defunct Mo’ Hits Records record label with D’banjDon Jazzy was born Michael Collins Ajereh in Umuahia, Abia State, on 26 November 1982, the son of Collins Enebeli Ajereh and Mrs Ajereh. His father is from Isoko in Delta State. His mother is an Igbo princess from Abia State and his father is a member of the Isoko people

EARLY YEARS AND SCHOOLING

After relocating to Ajegunle, Lagos. He completed his high school studies at Federal Government College Lagos, a co-educational institution. Early in his youth, Don Jazzy developed a passion for music, and at the age of twelve, he started to play the piano and bass guitar.

In addition, he learned about percussion and conventional instruments. Don Jazzy enrolled at Ambrose Alli University in Ekpoma, Edo state, to study business management.

Mavin Records (also known as the Supreme Mavin Dynasty)[1] is a Nigerian music corporation record label founded by record producer and recording artist Don Jazzy on 8 May 2012. The label’s inception came to fruition following the closure of Mo’ Hits Records, a record label owned by the aforementioned producer and D’banj.[2] The label is home to recording artists such as Rema, Ayra Starr, Crayon, Johnny Drille, Ladipoe, Magixx, Boy Spyce, Bayanni, and Lifesize Teddy. It also houses producers such as Jazzy himself, Altims, London, Baby Fresh, and Andre Vibez. In 2014, DJ Big N became the label’s official disc jockey.

Tiwa Savage, Wande Coal, Reekado Banks, and Iyanya were all formerly signed to the label.
